Guidelines and information for “Checkers”
1. The Jessup, Kraft, Palmer and Kincaid families will be participating-in that order.
2. Checkers can be either a boy or a girl—it’s up to each individual person.
3. Each household may keep Checkers for no more than 10 days after he/she arrives before mailing him/her off again. (No holding onto Checkers waiting for a Trailblazers game, trip to
4. Each person, regardless of age, gets to choose on his/her own what to do with Checkers, though parents may assist if necessary.
5. Each person can have Checkers in only one situation or location each time you get him/her, though you may take more than one picture. (You can be in the pictures too.)

7. Use your imagination! Checkers can wear, be, hold, do anything, go anywhere! Checkers should say something about the person—think about what you like and what you do each day! Checkers can go to ballgames, play outside, go to
8. Use the box Checkers arrived in, if possible. Jessups will replace with a new one on their turn or as needed.
9. Do not put anything else in with Checkers, unless absolutely necessary for some reason. It would just require a bigger box and more postage.
10. Keep Checkers clean and safe! Let the Jessups know if Checkers needs any special care or repairs, or if we need a new Checkers.
Helpful tips:
· If you want to, include in the box extra address labels, a dollar or two to help with postage, etc.
· Be thinking of what you want to do with Checkers when it’s your turn!
